The End

She feels as if she is swimming an endless oceanImage result for sad girl painting

An ocean of grief, sorrow, apathy and anger

A perpetual hurricane is going on inside her head

Which she desperately wants to escape

Escape to the end of this unceasing ocean

She doesn’t know what to expect when she reaches there

All she yearns for is a little bit of peace

A little bit of quiet

And a whole lot of happiness.

Cracks in the heart

When you throw an object in angerImage result for heart with cracks

Like for example, a mug

It doesn’t break

But receives a couple of cracks

People you love are like this mug

If you abuse them, yes they will probably come back to you

But with cracks in their heart

So choose your words carefully, control your anger and

be a level-headed individual

Gratitude

Image result for praying on your knees

We feel a yearning for things we cannot have

A yearning for love we cannot receive

A yearning for cars we cannot buy

A yearning for places we cannot visit

But in all this yearning

We forget the most important thing,

Gratitude

Gratitude towards the people who love us

Gratitude to the transport that takes us to the place we want

And gratitude for the roof we have over our heads.

Day Dreaming

Maybe I will sail across the sea

Maybe I will fly over the moon

Maybe travel all over the world

And taste different delectable dishes

And sip the finest of wines

Maybe I will-

“Carrie Dawson!!”

A 25 year old Carrie Dawson’s eyes shot wide open and she glanced wearily at the scowling person standing in front of her.

“Yes Boss?”

“Stop day dreaming and get those files ready on my desk in 5 minutes!”

“Yes Boss.”

Carrie Sighed.

Midnight Mystery

Image result for girl reading a book by the fireplace painting

She sat huddled by the fireplace

Her favorite book clasped in her hand

The suspense of the novel was nearing

“The masked man kicked the door open -“

Boom! the lightning struck

The girl almost flung the book away, she hadn’t realized that it had started pouring

She chuckled nervously and looked around, she remembered closing all the windows and doors.

The clock started ringing, announcing that its midnight

Suddenly there was a loud banging on the front door

She got up, startled, nobody was supposed to be here at this ungodly hour

She checked her cellphone to see no signal, and her neighbors lights were off.

She picked up her pocketknife lying nearby, not having much faith in its capabilities

This will do for now.

She crept slowly below,  Raven Beatrice Rowland wasn’t scared of anyone

The banging had stopped and to her horror

She heard a click in the lock

She quickly hid behind the staircase, planning to run at the first opportunity she gets

The front door opened and soft footsteps were heard

” Raven!” The voice echoed

That voice, Raven Beatrice Rowland came out of her hiding

The lights were switched on

And there standing were her parents, who were supposed to arrive in a week.

In her mother’s hand was a big cake, and in her father’s were multi coloured balloons

” Happy Birthday Raven!” They said.

And Raven went to embrace them with joy.
